NEW MEDIA X

New Media Techniques

Each year students participating the MPSA Digital Media Art Certificate program are required to take one art elective and one portfolio development class called Digital Art Certificate Studio (DACS).  Students are tasked with choice-portfolio projects and teacher-assigned projects related to digital art, electronic media, and new media techniques and history.

Featured in the galleries below are four new media art projects the DACS students created this year. This school year began remotely and students learned basic HTML and CSS using their iPads. The second project explored experimental filmmaking concepts.  The third, 3D modeling and printing.  And lastly, we will end the school year exploring performance art through live and collaborative animation and projection mapping.
